Biography: Kareena comes from the country’s first acting family and is the daughter of actor Randhir Kappor. Her elder sister Karisma Kapoor is also a well-known actress. Her mom separated from her dad because her dad would not allow them to become actresses.
She did her schooling in Bombay and at Dehra Dun’s prestigious Welham Girls’ School.  She was also at Harvard for a very brief period.

Kareena made her debut with ‘Refugee’ in 2000. It was also the film that launched Abhishek Bachchan’s career. Kareena was actually slated to star in the biggest hit of that year Kaho Naa Pyar Hai, but for some reason dropped out. She says she is glad to have done so. Today after more than 30 films to her kitty, Kareena is one of the most influential actresses in Bollywood.
