1) I always knew I had a good body, so I only had to maintain it. My confidence increased and I worked harder to maintain my body when I won the Miss Perfect 10 Title at the Miss India Universe contest. I treat my body as an asset, and being a model, it is my biggest asset.
2) I was a swimmer in school, and I started going to the gym when I was in college. I have always been fitness-focused. It’s important to be mentally, physically and emotionally sound. Being happy and content is an essential part of feeling fit.
3) My protein intake is very high, so my carbohydrates are not converted to fat. I have eggs for breakfast, fish or chicken for lunch, soup and salad for dinner. I am not very fond of fruits, but eat them because of the natural vitamins and sugars they supply.
4) I train for 45 minutes a day, whether it is Kathak, Yoga or Weight Training, and rest for one day. I need to exercise in any form for 45 minutes every day. It’s important to be active in some way. People can try roller-blading, cycling, jogging or good ol’ walking (especially short distances).
5) I binge on soya sticks and strawberry-flavoured protein bars. I am not a fussy eater. I don't refrain myself from eating anything I like. If I feel like having chips, I will, but I will supplement it with a protein bar. I carry them with me all the time, wherever I go. They benefit my hair, as a bonus.
