Lots of skin resulted in the film getting a U/A certificate. Although there is no vulgar scene, the hot dance by Rakhi and skimpy clothes of Sherlyn has the censor board seeing red. Both the girls are not at all amused by the censor board cuts.
Rakhi plays Shanno Amritsari,
a nautankiwali, a bindaas and strong babe in the film. Rani as Veer is seen wooing Rakhi in the movie. Both are excited about their roles in the movie. Rakhi in fact is all praises for Shahid in the movie and gushes every time someone asks her about her co-star to which she immediately reacts, ‘He saved my life; I am here today because of him. He is a good guy and fun to work with.’
What happened was that during a song rehearsal sequence Shahid gallantly saved her from coming under a mishap. He saved her life during the song sequence
Discowale, from ‘an about to fall’ light stand. Source on the set confirmed that it was a freak accident and she could have been electrocuted had Shahid not stepped in to pull her out of the way of the falling heavy light stand.
Ever since Rakhi has been singing praises about her 'knight in shining armour.' With three songs under her belt in the movie, she has all good things to say about the movie and she is all admiration for Rani Mukerji too; she gushes, ‘In one scene Rani flirts with me’ – Rani- as Veer kisses her on the cheek.
Claiming to have ‘a major role in the movie – five to six scenes plus three songs’, the trailer that is seen by all is entirely about
Rani, with no reference of either Rakhi or Sherlyn. Let’s wait and see how major a role she plays. Even Shahid seems to be missing from the promotion scene of the film.
Rakhi is clearly enjoying being associated with a big banner like Yash Raj. Her next target is Dharma Productions, and that wish just might come true she says, if K-Jo sees her performance in
Dil Bole Hadippa.
