Starring Himesh, Shenaz Treasurywala and Sonal Sehgal, Radio is about a popular and successful RJ, who has only just divorced his wife due to their hectic lifestyles and work schedules. He meets a beautiful and fun-loving girl in his workplace, whom he begins to fall in love with, only to be faced with rebound issues. The promos have indeed surprised audiences, in which Himesh talks about his complicated state of mind, rebound issues and Sonal Sehgal blurting out the concept of f*** buddies, issues that are very young and modern. A source close to the film adds, "Himesh will definitely be seen in an all-new light altogether. While his character is of a young and modern middle-class man, the issues highlighted in the movie are very mature and in tune with the times today."

Producer Ravi Agrawal says, “Radio covers a lot of relationship and family issues young couples face today. The film is in tune with the thinking of the youth and their thoughts on several matters of the heart and mind. Himesh is completely convincing in the film and has done a fantastic job with the script and his character.”

Shenaz Treasurywala, who stars as the fun-loving Shanaya in the film, speaks of her character and the film saying, “My character, a half Parsi and half Punjabi girl, tries different jobs, and she doesn’t know who she is yet, pretty much like me. Her parents nag her, like me again, and it's only when she decides to become an RJ that she finds her true calling. The film is very real in the sense that it depicts issues that the youth faces today, may it be work-related, developing feelings for your co-worker or making that very relationship work with busy lifestyles and stress-related issues.”

Himesh too has put in a lot of effort in the movie, “Radio is very close to my heart both as a actor and music director. It’s a very different concept and a very unique script. I am glad that the music of Radio has picked up so well with the masses, and I hope they accept my character and his attributes with open arms as well.”
