Anurag Basu has been working hard on the post production of
Hrithik Roshan and Brazilian beauty Barbara Mori starrer
Kites, which releases in January next year. Producer Rakesh Roshan wants
Kites to appeal on a global level and has dubbed the film both in English and Hindi, along with showcasing the teaser of
Kites at the Cannes Film Festival this year. The film has been taking most of Basu’s time and energy, but that hasn’t stopped him from contemplating his next romantic film. Sources say the director has a romantic script in mind, for which he needs a fresh pairing.
The source further adds, “ While
Kites is Anurag’s first priority, he still has a 3-film contract with UTV, on which he has begun work already. He has a beautiful romantic script in mind, and wanted new faces for the roles in the film. After watching
Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, he was taken aback with the chemistry of Ranbir and Katrina and feels that Ranbir has a lot of potential to join the big league very soon. He will be meeting both actors very soon to have a story discussion with them, and he can't wait to get them on board for his next.” When StarBoxOffice contacted Basu, he refused to comment on the issue and had said, “My priority is
Kites; there are several post production details remaining, and we will start promotions soon enough. The film will open new gates in the international market, and Bollywood films will get an all new audience very soon.”
Whether or not Ranbir and Kat team up again is yet to be known, but to have the audience's current favourite young couple return on the big screen will surely be a treat for many.
