Soha and Emran live in together

Emran Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan are only turning on the heat with their sizzling chemistry in Kunal Deshmukh’s Tum Mile.

The film set on the backdrop of the 26/11 floods has Soha and Emran essaying the roles of a live in couple based in Johannesburg. They experience the hurdles a young couple living together faces, coping with the ups and downs of both personal and professional lives. Soha, who plays Sanjana, speaks of the movie saying, “The type of raw emotions captured between Sanjana and Ali is very identifiable to young couples today. There are times when they feel they just can’t cope with each other while at times, they strive to make their relationship work...” Emran too agreed, saying, “It’s a very realistic film where the realization of love surfaces during trivial times. When they finally feel that the relationship has come to an end, situations such as the 26/11 floods portrayed in the movie make them think otherwise.”

Apart from its soulful music and sizzling chemistry of the lead actors, the film is a one-of-a-kind disaster movie. Director Kunal Deshmukh speaks of his film, saying, "Tum Mile is India’s first natural disaster movie. Hollywood has Twister, Volcano, Dante’s Peak, Deep Impact and The Day After Tomorrow, but Bollywood doesn’t have any, yet. It is India’s first natural disaster movie. We have had movies made on terrorism and crime, but nothing on natural disasters. Tum Mile is laden with mind-blowing special effects, which included a lot of research and development. All the effects have been done in India.”

And considering serial kisser Emraan is the lead star of the film, him not puckering up would be a first indeed. Kunal was adamant to have his stars kiss in the movie, but Soha was apprehensive at first. The actress even threw a fit on the sets, but after a lot of convincing agreed to do the scenes. So was it because of the demand of the Bhatt camp’s signature style? The director defends himself saying, “They play a live-in couple. If they are bold enough to take that step, it's but natural that a scene with them kissing would be involved.” He adds further about their chemistry saying, “This is the first time they have been paired together. Soha was perfect because we needed a college character that is eight years older than her age and Soha has that maturity. Emraan is an honest and talented actor. I needed an actor who was on the same page with me, someone who I could trust and communicate with even without talking.”
