SBO Reviews
It’s watchable yaar

Pyaar Impossible is finally out! Now, for all those of you who predicted the film would be a superflop and would in fact, be right on top in the list of ‘Biggest flops of 2010,’ let us tell you that you were absolutely wrong. Yes! Just because Uday Chopra is playing the lead, doesn’t mean the film is a flop. He wasn’t that bad, trust us! Pyaar Impossible, directed by Jugal Hansraj and produced by none other than actor Uday Chopra can be rated as an average film and a one time watch.

Priyanka Chopra is back with a bang once again this year as Alisha opposite Uday Chopra, who plays an absolute geek and someone who’s madly in love with Alisha. Dumb, weird, papa’s boy, socially challenged, etc are words that best describe him in the film. Moreover, he’s one of those pakka bright intelligent students, who just can’t do without his huge black rimmed glasses, and yes not to forget, of whose existence Alisha is not even aware of. This second production venture of Uday Chopra, ‘Pyaar Impossible’ is a story of this geek and a stunning young girl - Alisha from the same university – Ankert University in California.

Alisha is like every man’s dream girl, while in case of Abhay, it’s just the opposite and so he never has the guts to convey his feelings. According to Abhay aka Froggy, why would any beautiful girl in this world want to be with a geek like him? The pyaar seems to be totally impossible for him and this is where they part ways and move in different directions. Alisha is forced by her dad to leave the university, after which Abhay is convinced about the fact that she can never be his girl and that it’s better to continue loving her secretly. But here’s one thing Abhay learns from his dad – ‘Never lose hope. Believe in thyself and you’ll get what you want.’ So, this four eyed geek listens to his dad and then you know what happens, right? Na, he doesn’t get her, he finds her after 7 long years in Singapore.

You never know what’ll happen the next moment, do you? Well, destiny had some great plans in store for Abhay and Alisha. No wonder they ended up coming face to face again. And then the story moves ahead. He somehow manages to be friends with this divorcee working mommy – Alisha. Yes, by now Alisha is a mom. He begins to work as his 6-year-old daughter’s nanny (caretaker) and soon win’s her daughter’s heart first. Through this smart lil girl, he slowly gets closer to her mom and then one fine day this bespectacled whiz kid becomes the man of Alisha’s dreams.

This film is a must watch for people who think pyaar is impossible between two different contrasting personalities. Simply, because it’s not! This film is sure to prove you wrong. Also, Anupam Kher and Dino Morea have done a good job in the film. Now, to find out about their characters in the film, please go watch it. And here’s one suggestion for Uday Chopra, you’re quite good, but you could do a lot better as a producer in the long run. So, it’d be best if you stick to producing films, instead of acting.

Lastly, music by Salim – Sulaiman is simply great. There are hardly 4 songs in the film and they’re good, trust us! It’s just the climax of the film that’s a little silly, as it ends in the same old boring way, where in the actress realises that he’s the man of my dreams and that she feels like a princess with him. The last 15 minutes are so boring, that you would just want to shout out saying, “Shut the f..f..front door!” just like Priyanka does in the film.

What a big bore? What has happened to Yashraj films? No new ideas only rubbish directors like jugal hansraj find place. Aren't their good actors? Why Uday? He looks, acts, stupid. This movie has nothing new to offer. Rubbish film. Avoid this movie.
